Ubehebe Crater is a massive volcanic crater formed by a powerful steam explosion. It’s over half a mile wide and hundreds of feet deep. You can walk around the rim for sweeping views of the crater and the surrounding lava fields, it’s one of the park’s most dramatic geological features.
