The Hawaiian monk seal is one of the most endangered marine mammals in the world, and Kauai is the best of the islands to see them on the Kauai Tour.
Seals drag themselves up onto the beach to rest after feeding and to avoid predators in the water. Poipu Beach and coves along the North Shore are common places to spot them. Just remember that as a protected species it’s important to give them space and obey any signage.
