Yosemite just blew our minds! 🤯 Late April/early May was EPIC in Yosemite National Park, and we`re still awestruck!
The waterfalls were absolutely ROARING – Spring is the Best time to see the Waterfalls at their peak and even beat the summer crowds.
We had the BEST home bases at Upper Pines, Lower Pines, and North Pines campgrounds – talk about prime locations for exploring the valley! These Campgrounds are surrounded by Granite cliffs and are a great jump off point for some epic hikes. (Heads up: we`d skip the campgrounds near the north west and south entrances if you`re valley-focused!)
Some highlights that made our jaws drop:
That iconic Tunnel View vista? Still not over it!
Our daily climber check-ins at the base of El Capitan were so inspiring! Witnessing their multi-day ascent (4-5 days!) was incredible. 🧗♂️
Sunset at Mirror Lake giving us those perfect Half Dome reflections.
Travel tip alert! We used the GuideAlong app and it was a game-changer. Highly recommend for your travels! 😉 Link in bio!

Spring is here in Point Reyes National Seashore!
Point Reyes in mid-April: Nature did its spring thing with flowers everywhere. Also, a bunch of noisy sea lions and some surprisingly large elephant seals were just hanging out on the beach. You know, the usual wildlife party.
This place, Point Reyes National Seashore, isn`t just another pretty view. It`s a significant chunk of California coastline where the geology is as dramatic as the scenery (hello, San Andreas Fault!). This meeting of land and sea creates a haven for all sorts of creatures, from migrating whales you might spot offshore to the resident elk and a frankly ridiculous number of birds.
Want to experience it yourself? Here are 7 spots worth stopping for:
1. Point Reyes Lighthouse: Good for photos and maybe spotting some whales if they`re feeling social.
2. Chimney Rock: Lots of elephant seals. Prepare for some serious blubber action.
3. Drakes Beach: A decent beach for a stroll, and you might see some smaller, less dramatic seals.
4. Tomales Point: Hike for potential elk sightings and views that won`t disappoint (unless it`s foggy, which happens).
5. Cypress Tree Tunnel: A surprisingly photogenic tree tunnel. Good for that classic Instagram shot.
6. Limantour Beach: Another beach, but with more birds. If you`re into that.
7. Abbotts Lagoon: Easy walk, lots of birds. See a pattern here?
Pro tip: We used guidealong to tell us what we were actually looking at while driving around. Surprisingly informative. Check out their app via the link in our bio.
